The purpose of this article is to provide you with a clear step-by-step process on how to renumber fixtures, gondola blocks and gondola aisles in DotActiv software.

Renumbering Gondolas
With a floor plan open, click anywhere on the floor plan and drag the mouse over the gondola blocks you want to renumber.
Next, ensure you are in the ‘Tools’ tab. Here, navigate to the ‘Renumber’ section and click on ‘Gondola Blocks’.
From the drop-down menu, you can click on ‘Manual’, ‘Up’ or ‘Down’. Selecting the ‘Down’ option numbers the gondola blocks from top to bottom.
Selecting the ‘Up’ option numbers the gondola blocks from bottom to top.
Selecting ‘Manual’ allows you to select the gondola blocks individually in the order you want to number them.
Renumbering Fixtures and Gondola Aisles
The same process for renumbering gondolas applies to the process of renumbering Fixtures, and Gondola Aisles.
If you want to renumber either, from the drop-down menu, select ‘Fixtures’ or ‘Gondola Aisles’.
Checking Fixture Type When Renumbering
When renumbering your fixtures, you have the option not to change the fixture label.
If you check the box next to Check Fixture Type When Renumbering (seen in image below) each fixture type will have its own count. When unchecked, all fixtures will be included in a single count.
For example, if you have two shelves and two hanging bars, when checked it will be numbered as follows:
- Shelf 1;
- Shelf 2;
- Hanging Bar 1; and
- Hanging Bar 2.
Alternatively, if you uncheck the box, it will numbered as follows:
- Shelf 1;
- Shelf 2;
- Hanging Bar 3; and
- Hanging Bar 4.
