DotActiv Academy
The purchase of a DotActiv Lite, DotActiv Pro or DotActiv Enterprise license gives you immediate full access to the DotActiv Academy.
This is our education portal, which provides you with all the theoretical aspects surrounding successful category management as well as the software training necessary to equip you to implement category management best practices using DotActiv’s software.
The DotActiv Academy consists of six mastery levels; each focussing on a different aspect of category management.
The course makes use of online videos and course material in the form of downloadable PDF documents. Upon completion of the course, including assessments, you will receive certification. The courses included in the DotActiv Academy are as follows:
Software Master Level 1: Data
Data is the fundamental foundation of category management. By the end of this course, learners will have the knowledge required to evaluate and maintain an accurate database in order to design assortments, planograms, and floorplans.
Software Master Level 2: Clusters
By the end of this course, learners will be able to characterize category-based clustering and implement the methodology.
Software Master Level 3: Assortment Planning
Shoppers want to find the right product, at the right price, and at the right time. By the end of this course, the learner will be able to implement assortment planning which will ensure the formulation of profitable product ranges.
Software Master Level 4: Planogram Generation
Planogram Generation course first takes you through the theoretical knowledge of creating great planograms. This includes merchandising principles for example. The second practical course teaches you how to use the software to create planograms with ease.
Software Master Level 5: Floor Planning
This course begins with an extensive amount of theoretical learning. This content has been thoroughly researched and will ensure that learners are knowledgeable about data-driven floor planning. The practical part of the course equips learners with the knowledge they need to use the software to create floor plans.
Software Master Level 6: Reporting
By the end of this course, learners will be able to analyze and interpret the vast amount of data which is in the DotActiv database. They will be able to create data cubes, custom data visualisations, and dashboards.
One-On-One Training (DotActiv Software)
After completing the DotActiv Academy Mastery Levels, one-on-one training sessions can be booked with one of our friendly consultants. These training sessions are normally held via Google Hangouts, Skype or Zoom.
The one-on-one training is focused on aspects of the software that you feel least confident in.
Apart from the DotActiv Academy and one-on-one training, DotActiv has an extensive base of retail blogs – viewed here – and a knowledge base – named the PowerBase – which can further aid you in making the most of your DotActiv software. Both the PowerBase website and retail blogs are available to everyone.
All of these training materials available to you will ensure that you are confident in using the DotActiv software.
One-On-One Training (Activ8 Software)
You can schedule up to two live, online one-on-one training sessions for free between a DotActiv consultant and a dedicated person or main user from your company.
DotActiv trains the main user or a dedicated person from your company to be fully confident in using the Activ8 software so that they can provide training to the rest of your team. These training sessions usually take place via Google Hangouts, Skype, or Zoom.
Apart from the one-on-one training, there are also Activ8 specific articles on the PowerBase to provide you with quick answers.
