The purpose of this article is to explain how you can view active layers on a floor plan in DotActiv software
Available Active Layers
DotActiv has a variety of active layers that you can view on your floor plan. These layers are specific to the DXF and DWG files.
Viewing Active Layers
After opening a floor plan, ensure you are in the ‘Tools’ tab.
Next, navigate to the ‘Automation’ section and click on the ‘Import CAD’ icon.
Doing so imports a DXF file onto your floor plan.
On your left, in a dockable window, you’ll find all your layers. You can toggle a layer on and off by clicking the checkbox next to it or tick the ‘All Visible’ box to view all.
If you wish to toggle active layers on and off, ensure you are in the ‘Tools’ tab. Then, click on the ‘Layers’ icon found in the ‘View’ section.
You can also lock all the layers by ticking the ‘All Locked’ box or ticking the individual layers you would like to be locked.
Exporting To DXF
To export the floor plan to DXF, click on the drop-down arrow on the ‘Import CAD’ icon and select ‘Export To DXF’.
Should the above steps not work for you, please create a support ticket and DotActiv support will assist you in uncovering the issue.
