The purpose of this article is to show you how to update facts to a floor plan from the database from selected markets and not just the market set on the floor. This function is particularly useful for new stores that don’t have data.
Before you continue with the steps below, ensure you open a floor plan with a store code set and gondolas on the floor plan.
In the ‘Floor Plan Tools’ tab, under ‘Automation’, click on the ‘Import Data’ drop-down.
In the drop-down menu, select ‘Update Facts’.
A prompt will appear asking if you would like to update the floor with summary data. Click on ‘Yes’ if you would like to convert your product report from a list of product information to a row of information per gondola.
Next, select the gondolas that you would like to update by ticking and unticking the relevant boxes.
The ‘Update Facts’ window will appear.
In the first panel, select the facts that you would like to update by ticking and unticking the relevant boxes.
In the second panel, select the periods of data that you would like to use.
If you would like to update data from a different store or multiple stores, tick ‘Use selected markets(s)’.
Then, in the last panel, select the market(s) you would like to include by ticking and unticking the relevant boxes.
If you tick multiple stores, the function will use the average for those selected stores.
If you are happy with your selection, click ‘OK’.
To view the updated floor plan, click on ‘Reporting’ and then open ‘Product Report’. Here you should see records per gondola.
