How To Use The Quick Access Toolbar

The purpose of this article is to explain how to use the Quick Access Toolbar in the DotActiv Software. 

Applicable Products: DotActiv Free, DotActiv Lite, DotActiv Professional, DotActiv Enterprise

Quick Access Toolbar 

This function is in the top left corner of the DotActiv software and is used to quicken specific actions while working in the software. The default commands in the toolbar are:

  • Save/Save As
  • Print
  • Bulk Save and Close
  • Undo
  • Redo
  • Customize Quick Access Toolbar

Bulk Save And Close

The Bulk Save And Close command in the Quick Access Toolbar allows you to save and close multiple files at once. You can select the option to ‘save all and close’ or ‘save none and close’.

Customize Quick Access Toolbar

The Quick Access Toolbar is customizable and can be tailor-made to suit each user’s needs. Here is a step-by-step guide to editing the Quick Access Toolbar.

Step 1: Click on the ‘Customize Quick Access Toolbar’ icon in the top left corner of the DotActiv software.

Step 2: To add/remove commands, select ‘More Commands…’

Step 3: Specify the type of commands that you would like to choose from, from the drop-down menu.

Step 4: Select the command(s) that you would like to add to the Quick Access Toolbar.

Step 5: Select the command(s) that you would like to remove from the Quick Access Toolbar.

Step 6: Click ‘OK’.

Step 7: Add/remove default commands by selecting/deselecting them in the ‘Customize Quick Access Toolbar’

Please note that you can move the Quick Access Toolbar to below the ribbon and minimize the ribbon in the ‘Customize Quick Access Toolbar’ window.
