In this article, we will cover how to work with CSV’s. It will provide you with a general guideline on how to prep your CSV to ensure all the relevant columns are populated before importing it into the database.

Working With A CSV
DotActiv follows a simple process when reviewing your data prior to importing it into the database.
Download the Excel Document with the correct format here.
Make sure that you have populated all your Key Fields and that there are no blank columns or duplicate entries. For example, Store; Product; and Period combinations should be unique.
Ensure your period is in the correct format: yyyy-mm-dd
Double-check that your ProductID and/or Barcode field are in text format as seen below.
Save your file as CSV. It is now prepped and ready for you to import it into the database.
