Optimizer – Open A Range Backup

This article will act as a guideline on how to open a range backup within the range optimizer tool found in the DotActiv software.

Opening A Range Backup

1. Open the DotActiv software and click on the ‘Ranging’ Tab.
2. Click on the ‘Optimizer’ icon and then click on ‘Open Backup’.

Please note, each time you update the database, a backup is taken.

The following screen will appear.

You will see all previous backups saved by Category, Format, User as well as Backup Time. 

In the right-hand corner, there is a filter option to choose the category you wish to see by using the ‘Filter by category’ drop-down arrow.

Select the backup you want to open and click on ‘Load’. This will open up the ‘Range Optimizer – Backup’ window, as seen below.

You will notice that you cannot make any changes. You can only update the database with the previous range and remove any live changes made on the database.
