How To Effectively Present A Custom Report

The purpose of this article is to offer you a clear step-by-step process to help you toggle between full-screen and normal mode when presenting a report built in DotActiv software. Additionally, some user-friendly shortcuts are also explained.

Applicable Products: DotActiv Enterprise

Toggling Between Modes

You can toggle between full-screen and normal mode should you need to make any changes or exit the application.

With your report open, ensure you are in the ‘Tools’ tab. Then, navigate to the ‘View’ section. There, you can find ‘Show Full Screen’. Click on it to toggle to full-screen mode.

To exit from full-screen mode, press ‘Esc’ on your keyboard.

Page Scroll And Fit To Screen

You can make use of the following buttons in the ‘Tools’ Ribbon to scroll on your Custom Report in the DotActiv Software as indicated below.

The ‘Page Up’ button allows you to move to the previous page but can also be used by making use of the shortcut ‘Ctrl+Up’ on your keyboard. This function allows you to move an entire page at a time.

The ‘Page Down’ button allows you to move to the next page but can also be used by making use of the shortcut ‘Ctrl+Down’ on your keyboard.

The ‘Fit To Screen’ allows you to adjust your Custom Report page to fit your screen if you have made use of the zoom-in or out feature. This enables you to instantly move to a screen view that can be presented without cutting out certain information on the page. The function can also be used through the shortcut ‘Ctrl+F’ on your keyboard.

Toggling Between Planograms

The new software functionality enables you to toggle between different planograms without adding multiple planograms, tables or reports.

The function can be found in the ‘Tools’ ribbon under ‘Data Selection’ section. See the image below.

The toggle functionality enables you to toggle between planograms sorted into different folders with the correct naming convention based on the cluster and drop count. You are now able to link an entire folder with planograms.

You can link the different folders by creating the custom report created. When you get to the mapping window seen below.

Select the ‘Map/Edit’ button. On the ‘Select Map Type’ window make sure to select ‘Directory’ as seen below.

After mapping the folders you will be able to toggle between your planograms in the ‘Tools’ ribbon. This will change all Planograms, reports and tables created with the same data source. For example, the planograms, shelf reports, and tables set up with information populated directly from the planogram will change to the selected planogram. As seen in the GIF below.

This will enable you to have a shorter and more efficient DRT that can be used to present all the different planograms in one Custom Report. You have the option to decide when and how you will use the planogram toggle function to display the different planograms.

Note: Reports or Objects that does not make use of the same data source, will not update or change when the planogram toggle functionality is used.

Should the above steps not work for you, please create a support ticket and DotActiv support will assist you in uncovering the issue.
